Fundamental Doctrine

We believe and preach the basic and fundamental doctrine of Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:38).

Endeavouring to live a life of holiness and righteousness through the grace and strength of Jesus. Earnestly striving to be a follower of Him and His Word.

We believe and teach that the one God who revealed Himself in the Old Testament as Jehovah revealed himself in His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the one true God manifested in flesh, for in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (John 1:1-14; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9).

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Gospel Lighthouse Church of Cheras is to draw people to Jesus and into membership to the Body, lead them to Christlike maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the Church and missions throughout the Region, and to magnify the Lord Jesus Christ.


Our Vision
  • Our vision is to be a model church in this nation which preaches the uncompromising truth of God's Word and yet be all things to all men and reaching the lost souls.

  • Being a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.
  • Boldly sharing to the people of Malaysia and the neighbouring regions, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the One True God who is well able to meet all needs and that He is coming back.
  • Welcoming thousands of members into the fellowship of our church family - loving, learning, laughing and living in harmony together.
  • Developing people into spiritual maturity through Bible studies, cell groups, seminars, camp meetings and a Bible Training Centre in this region. To empower each member for a personal life mission.
  • Sending out career missionaries and church workers to plant churches all over Malaysia. Sending out members by teams on short-term mission trips and crusades in the region.

  • They are the ones who have some connection with the church, regular. lt attending or have attended at least once, both believers and non-believers

  • They are members who have gone through the new birth experience.
  • Integrated into the church family.

    Committed
  • They are maturing members.
  • They pray, tithe and attend cell group.
  • They are committed to grow in discipleship and service but not yet leaders.

    Core
  • Those with the deepest level of commitment
  • They are those in any form of leadership.
  • Without them the church comes to a standstill.
